We have been celebrating his first birthday all weekend – with aunts, grandparents and cake (it says “Congratulations” in Danish on the cake). A hasn’t understand the concept of unwrapping but loved all the attention, the cake and the presents (unwrapped by mum). In short a super weekend!

Today we had a perfect autumn day in Copenhagen. A and I went for a walk in the sunshine, A played with his friend E and I shared a pot of coffee with my dear friend Elise while the boys took their nap. Just perfect.

In Edinburgh, on this exact date, I met and fell in love with C, my amazing Dane. 3 year ago, today, we got married and (nearly) one year ago we became parents to the charmer A. We have so much to be happy for. Can’t wait to celebrate with a date night – just me and my man.
