My Copenhagen

Lime og Gule træskåle fra Gå Grønt

I have to show you one of the little shops I pop by….often. It’s Gå Grøn (English ‘Go green’) a shop in Jægersborggade that’s all about recycling, Eco friendly goods. The shop is filled colourful things – leather bags, bowls made of bamboo or coconut, wool baby clothing,  yeah loads of it is handmade too. [...]

Post image for Fantastic {Copenhagen} graffiti

I have mentioned and posted images from the local graffiti wall before but now it’s finally ready. And I love the result – (have I mentioned my science fiction addiction?). I feel that these guys are real artist and I love that the big ugly wall surrounding the metro building site is decorated like this. [...]

Post image for {Nørrebro} grafitti wall

More pictures from the local graffiti wall, the wall that surrounds the metro building site in Nørrebroparken. I took them yesterday with my mobile phone. Getting beautiful don’t you think?

Just came home from a walk with Little A in his pram, around our neighbourhood. On our route pass the park, where they are building the new Metro, I noticed some graffiti artist working on the wall surrounding the building site. Beautiful don’t you think?

Oh what a lovely 4 day weekend we have had here in Copenhagen. Sunshine and summer including icecream, meeting up with friends, relaxing in the backyard, 2 trips to IKEA (so that I finally got my own wardrobe after months of complaining) but most of all long trips in the sunshine in my lovely neighbourhood, Nørrebro. All the pictures above are from our walks around Nørrebro.

I’ve been living in Copenhagen for nearly 5 years now, even though has my friend Tina, who has lived here for 5 months (or is it more Tina?) managed to discover more nice shops than me. Luckily for me and for you, she has documented them all in a project called Shop52. 52 little funky Copenhagen shops will it be on her list, when the projects is over.

Quriosia, any retro lovers (wet)dream. The shop is filled up with little treasures, old cool cans and boxes, 60s lamps that actually works, the perfect style coffee cups in bold colours, funky furniture and what am I seeing? A 60s style version of Treasure Island!
